報告簡介:量子精密測量是近年快速發展的一種量子增強技術,它主要利用量子關聯來提高量子測量的精度。在此報告中,我們將介紹量子精密測量的背景知識和基本原理,並著重討論如何通過哈密頓量控制提高量子測量的精度。我們將展示通過施加合適的哈密頓量控制,傳統磁場頻率的測量精度可以被大幅提高並突破經典極限。這種哈密頓量控制是基于反饋的,並且通過少數幾輪的反饋即可趨向最優。在報告的最後,我們將對當前量子精密測量領域的一些活躍方向進行展望。

Abstract: Quantum metrology is a rapid-developing quantum technology in recent years, which uses quantum correlation to enhance the sensitivity of quantum measurements. In this presentation, we will introduce the basic principle of quantum metrology, and discuss how to improve the precision of quantum measurements by Hamiltonian control. We show that by proper Hamiltonian control, the precision of traditional frequency measurement of a magnetic field can be significantly increased and break the classical limit. This Hamiltonian control is feedback-based, and can approach to be optimal by very few rounds of feedbacks. At the end of the talk, we outline current active research directions in the field of quantum metrology.

報告人簡介:庞盛世,中山大学物理学院教授。2012年博士毕业于中国科学技术大学,2013年至2019年先后在美国南加州大学、罗切斯特大学和费米国家实验室从事博士后研究,主要研究方向为量子信息和量子精密测量。目前在Nature Communications、Physical Review Letters、Physical Review A等国际物理学期刊上发表SCI论文18篇。

Profile: Shengshi Pang, professor of School of Physics at Sun Yat-Sen University. He received the PhD degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2012, and did postdoc research at University of Southern California, University of Rochester and Fermilab from 2013 to 2019. His main research interest is quantum information and quantum metrology. Shengshi Pang has so far published 18 papers in Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A, etc.
